This page was created to inform the public of one family's experience using

   'The Moving Connection' Inc.
 59 N. Fifth Street
 Saddle Brook, New Jersey 07663

for their move from New Jersey to Florida in 2004.

They would strongly recommend that you explore this page and view
some of the pictures that show the negligence in the handling of their
property during the move. They have only posted 10 pictures, but for the
record a total of 119 pictures were taken of all the damage. This does not
include the pictures that were taken by their insurance adjuster.

 BEFORE

you decide to call 'The Moving Connection' for an estimate, just scroll down this entire page. Their total damages amounted to over $9,000.00. Fortunately their home-owners policy covered the loss, unfortunately it didn't cover the aggravation, inconvenience, and time spent to shop for and replace the damaged items.
The minimum insurance that 'The Moving Connection' was required to carry would have only covered them for only 0.60¢ cents per pound of damaged goods. Using that formula they only would have been able to collect a few hundred dollars for their loss. 'The Moving Connection' was clearly negligent in the handling of their property. Just look at the proof below, the pictures were taken as the workers placed the boxes in their new home.
'The Moving Connection' also breached their contract by sub-contracting
the move to a third party trucking company, which didn't become known until
the truck arrived at their home in Florida. The workers on that truck even joked about how they were told to wear 'The Moving Connection'  t-shirts to make it look as though they worked for the company. One of the workers told the homeowner that they usually used their truck for seafood and produce. That was the reason for the refrigeration unit on the trailer being used for the move.

DON'T
make the same mistake by contracting

All of the boxes pictured below were bought brand new,
specifically for this long distance move. The condition shown
reflects the negligent handling by 'The Moving Connection'
and/or their sub-contractors.
